Life is full of surprises! Just when you think you've seen everything, there's something new. We hope you will enjoy some stories from 2016 that made us say, "Wow, that's the first time for that!"

In the first week of release, our new CD went to #1 on the Airplay Direct Bluegrass / Folk Album for the week and all 12 tracks were in the Top 1 - 12 spots for all combined charts! Wow! We are so grateful to DJ's for playing our music!

Alligators From The Stage
|

|
Definitely a first in 2016 was being able to see alligators from the stage! This venue in New Orleans was called "The Bayou Barn" (Dan actually remembers playing this venue with Steve Wariner years ago). The caretaker, "Dundee," called a gator over to visit and it stayed for the sound check. He was one of fifteen that live in the swamp.

Our concert at Woodsongs Dalton on April 30th was our first ever show sponsored by a beauty product. Thank you Sassy Goat Milk Soap!

In September, we were invited to play for a family reunion held in their family cemetery in Garrison, KY. Our hosts built a stage for us and the hospitality was amazing, but I have to say that we were glad not to get a standing ovation!

|
A wedding in Wallace, KS on April 2nd, is the first time we have seen a groom in a cowboy hat. The venue was a ranch that has been in the bride’s family since 1885.
|

|
Our March 25th show at the Crimson Moon Café dinner theater in historic Dahlonega, GA was the first time we have played at a haunted venue. There are several stories floating around about ghostly spirits there.
|

|
We have just opened our first online music store! We are always adding new features to our website. We invite you to check out pictures, our latest tour schedule, live video and more.

The John Hancock 5k Run on August 23rd was the first time we have played for a foot race. The stage was set up at the start and finish line and Dan played the Arkansas Traveler as the contestants lined up.

And last, but not least, 2016 was our first time to play at a nuclear plant! The Watts Bar Nuclear Facility in Spring City, TN is the newest nuclear unit in the U.S. We never thought we would need to know what to include in an emergency radiation kit. The show was a blast!
